National COVID Survivor Day

Nationwide-All reading this know how life-altering the last year has been.  With social distancing, face coverings, increased hand-washing, gathering restrictions, mass emergence of virtual business conduction, unemployment, massive school and business closures and reopening, and the dreaded rapid illness due to COVID-19, it is a wonder that our nation and world still is afloat.  Yet, we are.  The COVID pandemic has wreaked havoc on the world through extreme illness with ensuing death, rapid illness with full recovery, and the anguish experienced by loved ones of those with the aforementioned conditions.  Either way you look at it COVID survivors in all forms deserve applause.  Global leader and Equality Advocate, Greshun De Bouse, had this in mind when she founded the much-supported National COVID Survivor Day.

Celebrated annually August 3, National COVID Survivor Day™ or #COSURVDAY™ honors the lives and legacy of those who survived a COVID-19 diagnosis or lost their lives to COVID-19, and offers a network of support to their surviving loved ones.

De Bouse says,

After losing relatives to COVID-19 or COVIBULLY in 2020 and after having a relative recover from. COVID diagnosis, I experienced firsthand how psychologically and physiologically exhausting COVID can be for not only those diagnosed, but also their loved ones.  I thought it only befitting that all survivors be honored with their own special day.

Such sweet words. We just adore Greshun De Bouse for all she does. Her commitment to service inspired her life motto:

When thunder bolts, our service remains."
