The Business Show Partners With ‘Time To Change’ To End Mental Health Discrimination

This 14th and 15th November ‘The Business Show’ have partnered with Charity ‘Time To Change’, focusing on Mental Health.

It’s time to Change and end Mental Health, it has been the biggest stigma and non talked about taboo for decades especially within Businesses affecting Business Owners and Entrepreneurs.

This 14th and 15th November ‘The Business Show’ have partnered with Charity ‘Time To Change’, focusing on Mental Health. The social movement is run by charities 'Mind' and 'Rethink Mental Illness'. The movement focuses on representing, explaining and supporting different types of Mental Health Issues, but also helping people who are not affected by these illnesses to recognise and support a friend or relative living in these conditions.

The Business Show, is the largest Business platform of its kind within the whole of Europe and has been a foundation to represent real Businesses and Entrepreneurs which recognises the non talked about stigma of Mental Health within Business.

A study in 2015 from The University of California suggested that nearly a full half of people who start a company have struggled with some form of mental illness, with a third saying they have a lifetime illness.

This is one of many reasons the Show have partnered with Charity Partner ‘Time To Change’ to raise awareness and end Mental Health Discrimination. Key Influencers, Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders who have suffered from Mental Health will be sharing their journey of how Mental Health has affected them and how they overcame this.

Keynote Speakers who will share their journey with Mental Health is Former Footballer and TV Presenter Clarke Carlisle, Footwear Designer, Tommy Mallett will be sharing his battle against anxiety and Jo Loughran the Director of Charity ‘Time to Change’ will be sharing the movement and campaign of the ‘Time to Change Employer Pledge’ and the positive impact encouraging conversations about mental health in the workplace.

Laura Lawrance, The Business Show Marketing Director said;
"Everyone in The Business Show team is really excited to work with 'Time For Change'. The Business world changes all the time and it's a challenge for every Business person to keep up with it, hopefully giving a little more attention to this topic will help both our delegates and exhibitors."
