"A TRADITIONAL GOSPEL CHOIR, WITH A CONTEMPORARY FLAIR, A FULL SOUND, LONGEVITY AND EXCELLENCE ." These words capture the true essence, skill and stamina of Atlanta-based choir, Joseph Robinson and The Chosen Aggregation. Whether singing traditional, stirring ballads or upbeat, contemporary tracks, the choir consistently delivers. Perhaps this explains why the choir recently earned top votes from members of the Stellar Awards Gospel Music Academy (SAGMA). The Members' votes moved the choir on to the second, public and final ballot, which determines the official Stellar Award Nominees for Traditional Duo/Chorus group of the year.
This is a major event in the life of this 28 year old choir that was founded by the late Minister Dirk B. Chaney as simply, The Chosen Aggregation. In 2002, Joseph F. Robinson, Jr. became the Executive Director of the choir, and it became professionally and affectionately know as Joseph Robinson & The Chosen Aggregation.
The choir has not only captivated audiences in many local and surrounding churches and entertainment venues throughout Atlanta and the Southeast, but also it has captured the hearts of audiences throughout other parts of the United States and Europe.
When asked how he feels about the choir's movement into the second round, Director Joseph Robinson replied, "blessed...I feel blessed."
