The KATIAHSHÉ sound is Deep House with sultry vocals, reminiscent of old school Miami Hip Hop/Soul, with lots of Afro-Cuban chants, and percussion woven through a mesh of deep, dark synths. This track itself is a Divine homage to the Orisha God, Obatala. Her elegance, strength, beauty, charisma, and enchanting SPIRIT LIGHT are the definition of who Priestess, KATIAHSHÉ, is. Rich in experience and determination, KATIAHSHÉ courageously takes to her spirituality, and shares her devotion through creative expression. Her music is meant to lighten our hearts, and demonstrate the healing power of music and storytelling.
In the “City of Magic,” she grew up in the entertainment industry, and seemed fated that KATIAHSHÉ was to be a performer from an early age, when she became a recording artist as a child, and went on to collaborate with artists across the nation. Born to Cuban parents, her mother and father are musicians and entertainers, performing alongside legends for most of her life. Her family bloodline is a constant stream of artists, going as far back as three generations, to her famous grandfather, Cuban author, "EL CUCALAMBE,” recognized as one of the top Poets of the 19th century.
Today KATIAHSHÉ vocals are a staple to the 305HOUS sound. Releasing songs on Labels such as, Made in Miami, Murk, Nervous Records, Juicy Records and In-house Records.
