CLIO, MI May 7, 2018 – Veteran owned BadAss Custom Rings has announced today that it is raising funds via a rewards / equity crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to purchase new ring tooling, a new tent for festivals and craft shows, and new displays. The company set out to raise $1,000 on Kickstarter to purchase this much needed equipment and to purchase gift boxes for sales.
Disabled Marine veteran, Gordon Harris, has been crafting this amazing and stunning jewelry for over 2 years now. Gordon served in the Marines from 2000 - 2004 as an infantry rifleman with one tour to Iraq in 2003. Gordon uses his jewelry crafting as a form of therapy for PTSD. "It gets my hands moving and keeps my eyes paying close attention to small details," Harris says.
Last year Gordon and his wife, Sarah, started setting up his display of rings at different festivals and craft shows in the Mid-Michigan area. The response was phenomenal and everyone was drawn to the tent. The current tent being used is very basic, yet takes the Harris' an hour to set up and teardown. "There are a lot of pieces and sometimes he can get frustrated easily with the PTSD," Sarah said. His year they are rolling out a new line of mens dress wear accessories.
The special finish is something that Harris has been working on. "These are really stunning! The finish technique has been being worked on for a while now and I really like the results," he said. The new line up consists of cuff links, tie tacks, tie clasps, and money clips. "We are really hoping everyone likes the new items as much as they do with my original work!"
The Kickstarter campaign will begin May 17 2018. More information can be found at www.FaceBook.com/BadAssCustomRings
