Travel Site is Giving Out A Daily Dose of Sunshine to Brighten Days

Surfboard on the walls, hammocks for chairs. Beach.com, a startup travel site, wants its virtual community to feel good, even if they can't make it to the beach. And it all started with the accidental launch of a feel-good campaign.

APRIL 9, 2019 - Sarasota, FL -- The team at startup travel site Beach.com knows how lucky they are to work just steps from the No. 1 Beach in the U.S.. And that’s even more reason for the self-proclaimed beach bums to disperse little rays of sunshine every morning to their virtual community of beach lovers.

A viral campaign that took off somewhat by accident, according to Yasmin Parsloe, the head beach bum in charge, has turned into a morning ritual for the brand’s loyal beach followers. They’re calling it “A Daily Dose of Sunshine,” a feel good wake-up email that brightens days, rather than sheds bad news. “People are always waking up to politics and negative stories, we just want to share some sunny, feel-good vibes before the day really gets going,” says Parsloe. “We’re tapping into online communities and finding that people just want to share their favorite memories, and for a lot of those people, the beach is the common theme. We want to help people share those memories, simply because it makes them feel good.”

It’s easy to subscribe to get your own daily dose, just simply head to Beach.com and sign up with your email. Every morning at sunrise, you’ll receive an image of a beautiful beach contributed by a member of the Beach.com community, a lovely wake-up message and a light-hearted sun pun because sun's out, puns out, am I right? Members of the Beach.com community are invited to share their favorite beach photos and memories for the chance to brighten someone’s day. Just send an image and description to sunshine@beach.com.

The viral eMarketing campaign aligns with the brand’s mission to inspire travel to the world’s best beaches. “Honestly, we’re living up to the sunny culture vibe -- do good, feel good.” And, that’s why the company plans to break the record for the largest international beach cleanup in the world later this year.

Be sure to check out Beach.com for free beach vacation travel guides, daily articles and tips, and reviews for hotels and resorts located right on the beach.
