Local professional football player, Paul Terry, signs with the USFL for their inaugural season. On February 22nd and 23rd the United States Football League (USFL) held their player selection draft for the upcoming 2022 season. Paul was not initially drafted, but was then picked up in the supplemental draft on March 10th. A running back out of Eastern New Mexico University, Paul was drafted in the 10th round to the Philadelphia Stars.
Paul Terry has been playing football for as long as he can remember. From little league, to High School, to Eastern New Mexico University, the Spring League and now the Philadelphia Stars. His skills have propelled him to this level of professional football and he has proven to be an asset for all the teams he has played for. The United States Football League (USFL) is a new American professional football league to begin its inaugural season of play on April 16, 2022. The league is composed of 8 teams that will play a 10 week season with 2 additional playoff rounds. Birmingham, Alabama is set to be the host city for this inaugural season with all games being played at Proactive Stadium and Legion Field.
The Philadelphia Stars are going to be coached by former CFL coach, Bart Andrus, for this first season. The Stars were originally announced as one of the 8 teams for the rebooted USFL franchise in October 2021. Paul is a phenomenal asset for the Stars and will do whatever it takes to help bring home a championship to Philadelphia.
