Don't let cold weather dampen your visit!

As the winter season fast approaches Colchester Zoo still has plenty of undercover facilities and activities to get involved with!

Follow our ‘Duck undercover’ route to explore our undercover enclosures such as the Playa Patagonia where you can see the sealions swimming in our underwater tunnel and visit our orangutans in the Orangutan Forest!

We also have plenty of fun activities in our Discovery Centre such as learning about our friendly bugs – and you can handle them too! We also have our interactive zone which includes our sand pit allowing you to make your own landscape and spot well-known species projected in the sand! We also have an interactive screen where you get to see your own creature come to life on the big screen!

Our popular indoor play soft play area Jungle Tumble is also open all year round for the children to enjoy! PLUS we have our Sensation Station where you can get up close to different species such as reptiles and snakes as well as rabbits and tortoises!
