§ Standard Life needed to ensure their legacy pension system (PS) & newer SIPP/WRAP platforms were compliant with HMRC RTI legislation. As Lead Business Analyst, Alastair Majury ensured regulatory compliance. Understood legacy PS & key challenges; mentored & supervised new BA to produce requirements for SIPP/ WRAP platforms; rapidly developed business requirements; developed & agreed functional spec; and co-ordinated between business users, developers & off/on-shore testing teams. Succeeded in implementing the biggest change to PS platform in 35+ years to allow on time reporting of 30k+ pensions to HMRC.
· Legal & General needed to document BAU requirements for changes to their mature savings and pension systems. As Senior BA, Alastair Majuryensured systems regulatory & tax compliance. Understood issues with existing documentation; & mature savings processes; created fit-for-purpose & repeatable business requirements; reviewed Autumn statement & established only BAU requirements were needed; and achieved sign-off of completed requirements with all relevant stakeholders. · National Australia Group Europe were piloting the introduction of Agile on their largest “Back Office” change programme when ensuring compliance with FATCA. As Scrum Master, Alastair Majury ensured that there was a good relationship between all elements of the development team, including clearing prior obstacles and politics, and with the Product Owner. Providing regular feedback to Senior Stakeholders who had an interest both in the success of the FATCA element, and the introduction of Scrum to National Australia Group Europe. This resulted in successful delivery of the programme ensuring compliance and a positive first introduction to Scrum.
