Escort to The Wall That Heals Draws Epic Interest

HOWELL TO HOST ALL-NEW LARGER THE WALL THAT HEALS EXHIBIT ON August 23-26, 2018

Howell, MI –A motorcycle escort following The Wall That Heals and the Michigan Vietnam Veterans Memorial Traveling Wall to Howell, MI on Tuesday August 21, 2018 will begin at Cabela’s in Dundee and end at the Spencer J Hardy Airport in Howell. The escort will contain hundreds of veteran riders including those multiple American Legion Rider Posts, Legion Rider's  # 369 from Garden City,  Leathernecks, Camp Liberty, Downriver for Veterans, Agent Orange Riders, Axeman, Nozzelmen, and Patriot Guard Riders.
Staging and registration will begin at Cabela’s (Dundee) parking lot F at high noon on Tuesday, August 21st with kickstands up at 2:00pm sharp. This police escorted ride will be approximately 65 miles up US-23 (north) to I-96 (east) to Kensington Road onto Grand River, proceed West on Grand River through Downtown Brighton and Howell to the Livingston County Airport (corner of Grand River and M 59) for arrival at approximately 3:30pm. The escort will be heading West on Grand River estimating it will be in Brighton about 2:45pm and Howell 3:00pm.
 The Wall That Heals, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, along with a mobile Education Center, is coming to Livingston County on August 23-26, 2018 at Spencer J. Hardy Airport, 3399 Country Airport Drive, Howell, MI 48855 and will be open 24 hours a day and is free to the public.  The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the Vietnam War and bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.
