President Donald Trump caused a controversy on July 14 when he told the Squad to “go back” to where they came from. The media and the Democrats labeled President Trump “racist” for telling Reps. Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib to find another home since they hated the United States so much.
But the Squad are the real racists, according to Don Juravin. They have expressed disdain for the country they call their home.
What is the definition of home? A home is a place one lives in, and a place one has the utmost respect and reverence for. In a home, people don’t try to demolish the whole building or disrespect the people who live in that home with them. If they don’t like their home, they can always find a new place to live.
However, Juravin says it is important that one always respect one’s home. The Squad does not respect their home in the United States. Even if they were born here, they clearly don’t like living here.
Critics of our country will always have the option of leaving the United States for somewhere else. They can return to the land of their ancestors, or find their own version of paradise. Home is where the heart is. If your heart isn’t in America, then there’s a whole world to explore.
In stating “go home”, Trump was not being a racist. The people who saw his statement as such were being racist.
Moving Out of Trump’s House
These 4 members of the “squad” are racist. They created a group based on race, gender, and political opinions. In order to be a part of the squad, one must be a woman of color, anti-Israel and anti-Semitic. That kind of exclusive selectivity is the very definition of racist.
These women don’t respect the people that live in their home. They only respect women of color who believe the same things that they do. And they label those that disagree with them as “racist.”
President Trump did not target the squad for their race, or their gender. He responded to their statements and their ideas. Juravin asks since when is disagreeing with someone’s ideas racist?
Mother Teresa’s Wisdom
Mother Teresa was once invited to speak at an anti-war rally. She refused, saying: “Don’t tell me what you are against, tell me what you stand for.” Her words echo the truth to this day.
The squad says simply that America is not good and that its president is not good, but they are not presenting what they stand for. Had they adopted an identity, as opposed to simply being anti-American, then I could not accept Trump’s statement, as then it would be untoward for our President to behave in such a way.
But they did not adopt an identity. These women do not respect the President, they want to impeach him. They do not welcome other ideas; they only want their own ideas front and center. Pressley even said at a conference that “brown faces that do not speak for brown voices are not welcome here.” If she were white, that would be considered racist.
Where Is the Squad’s Home?
Apparently the squad does not see America as home. It does not seem as though they wish to be here. You do not want to live in a place that you perceive to be filled with hate. You do not see it as home, and thus what is your solution? Where might you go?
In Juravin’s opinion, you cannot simply profess hatred of America without offering solutions. The squad hasn’t tried to leave America. They didn’t get in somewhere else. In fact, the Squad has broken the rules in America and still refuses to leave.
In our home, in America, one does not lie to the IRS or try to trick them. One does not marry her brother. These are things we cannot endorse. Breaking these rules is disrespecting our home.
Go Home: America Needs Americans
The squad doesn’t act like it’s their home. Therefore, because they don’t act like it’s their home, Trump told them to go home. . You don’t do things like this in your home. You especially do not do these things when you’re a public official. Public officials must be held to a higher level, as they are in place to serve us. It is their role to set their personal beliefs aside and to provide a valuable service to the nation.
Trump can be brash, and the American people often expect someone to be more “presidential.” But that’s not as important as getting results for the American people, Juravin asserts. Trump works for us, and he brings us results. Would I like to see someone more graceful or someone who better controls his mouth? Yes, I would have. But we want results so much, we cannot expect somebody to be aggressive and in a way a little of a bully to protect us, then expect him to be a nice guy. His personality is what we need to fight with China.
Having the right people for the job is what matters, and naysayers of America have no place in our leadership. If 4 white men came together in criticism of the government, it would be no different if Trump were to tell them to go home. This is not about race, this is about being an American, for America, in America.
Trump’s call to “Go home” could also have applied to 4 white men, inviting them to return to where their ancestors came from if they were not satisfied with the United States. Trump is not being racist, he is simply demanding that those tasked with serving America have the right perspective to do so.
