Downtown House of Pizza Announces Grand Opening Celebration & Ribbon Cutting

DOWNTOWN FORT MYERS, December 1, 2018  — Jason Kohn, owner of Downtown House of Pizza on Hendry Street in Downtown Fort Myers announces the grand opening of a new dining area and restaurant expansion. The Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony at a private reception from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Downtown House of Pizza, 1520 Hendry Street, Downtown Fort Myers. A public celebration will immediately follow in conjunction with ArtWalk starting at 6:00pm. Donations of unwrapped toys will be collected at Downtown House of Pizza in behalf of ACT - Abuse Counseling & Treatment of Fort Myers.

“We’re excited to finally offer our customers what they have been asking about for years,” said Jason Kohn, owner of Downtown House of Pizza, “Feedback so far is outstanding,” he said.

Along with the new dining area, the expansion includes a second pizza oven for quicker service, a new walk-up beer bar with 8 taps - six of which are dedicated to local breweries, and a beer cooler with a rotating selection of 25 different beers available in singles or six-packs to enjoy in the restaurant or to go.

The look of the new space is industrial-modern with accents of metal and wood. Highlights include a massive open metalwork gate and tables custom hand-crafted by Scott Dobert and associates of Industrial Evolution Furniture, Co. in Lehigh Acres. Remodeling and construction was handled by Monarch Builders and Remodelers of Bonita Springs. Featured decor includes a gallery of original black and white film photography by Brian Tietz of Fort Myers.

Downtown House of Pizza is open daily at 10:00am with late night hours Wednesday to Saturday, closing at 3:00am.
