MATT DONOHOE and Bob “LANNY” McDONALD Sign WINTER Deal with Trout

FBT Hockey Begins Tonight

Fur Bearing Trout Hockey club general manager Tom Holcomb announced today
that the club has signed Defenceman Matt Donohoe and journeyman Bob
“Lanny” McDonald to one-session contracts. Per club policy, terms of the
contracts were not disclosed.
Donohoe, age unknown, was scouted heavily by Goalie Pete Sharpe. A former
Warthog, Sharpe had some real positives to say about Matt, albeit concise. “Very
good defenseman that can move the puck”. Join me in welcoming Matt to the
Trout.
In the other signing, Bob McDonald joins the Trout after a long layoff from his
playing days on Long Island. Holcomb mentioned that Bob is the Father of an
outstanding Jr. Penguin (ala Spearman). “We can only hope he skates half as well as
his son” when asked about the newest Trout. It appears that Bob’s manslaughter
charge from the Long Island Men’s league has disappeared from the New York
PointStreak system, clearing the way for the signing.
When contacted by the Trout regarding the upcoming season, both players
indicated “they didn’t have anything going on, so why not?”
Kurt Horn (knee) and Jason Pauletto (sliced tendon in Thumb) have both been
placed on injured reserve to make room on the roster.
The Trout will start the defense of their potential 2nd place finish beginning tonight
at 10:45.
