AQUARIAS SPA AT WHATLEY MANOR INTRODUCED NEW RANGE OF JENNIFER YOUNG SPA TREATMENTS

Aquarias Spa at Whatley Manor Hotel and Spa (01666 827 070; whatleymanor.com) has announced the introduction of a new range of gentle and nurturing Jennifer Young spa treatments.

Jennifer Young is an experienced microbiologist, qualified nutritional therapist, an associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine, and a qualified aromatherapist. Her skincare and beauty products are very gentle and healing to the body, and 100% natural and organic.

The Jennifer Young range is beautifully soothing and nourishing for any skin type, but the products have been specially developed for those with extremely sensitive skin, eczema and psoriasis, or dry and brittle nails. This range is completely free of plant oestrogens and is particularly beneficial for those who are currently undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment.

The team of therapists at Aquarias Spa have received specialist training and are able to offer six deeply nourishing, relaxing and soothing treatments, from facials and massage to manicures and pedicures. Each treatment begins with a professional consultation, and ends with important aftercare advice, a complimentary herbal tea and the chance to relax in the spa’s Tepidarium.

Sue Williams, general manager of Whatley Manor commented “We are so pleased to now be able to offer, with confidence, treatments to guests who are undergoing cancer treatment. If there was ever a time when we are most in need of pampering, it is when we are going through deeply challenging medical treatments. Now we can offer a true haven away from it all, and where you can
indulge in a selection of treatments that can be trusted and are only doing good.”

Tracy Whelan, Aquarias Spa manager added “We are delighted to be able to offer people going through cancer treatment the opportunity to experience a spa treatment at Whatley Manor. I have personally witnessed someone very close to me go through cancer and seeing the affects the treatment has on the body lead me to approach Jennifer Young and to introduce her treatment programme to Aquarias Spa. Therapists are often taught in college not to offer a treatment to anyone with cancer. However, we believe that giving our therapists the correct knowledge to offer a treatment at what is a very difficult time, is amazing. Our reception staff have also undergone training to offer advice and reassurance to guests at the time of booking, as to the most appropriate treatment available”.
Jennifer Young concluded“I am delighted that Aquarias Spa at Whatley Manor is now able to welcome those living with and beyond cancer. This is such a caring spa, grounded in health and well being. It is clear that the guest experience is at the heart of everything that Whatley Manor does. It is an absolute honour for me to work with this caring spa team.”

The treatment range includes:

The Glowing Facial (either 25 or 55 minutes) is a soothing facial that is perfect for sensitive skin, ensuring pure relaxation and including an optional scalp massage.

The Balanced Body and Mind (either 25 or 55 minutes) treatment is a holistic full body massage, in which the specialist therapist will balance the chakras and the mind for incredible relaxation, while the Top To Toe treatment is a gentle full body massage followed by a deeply relaxing facial; this is a 75-minute treatment for the ultimate in luxury pampering.
