Here are a few things to look out for.

1. Always get on the phone with them. If they cannot speak to you over the phone, it's a Nigerian or Indian scammer.

4. Check to see if they have a website, and how the website is worded. If it looks like a 3rd grader wrote it, it's because most Africans or Indians don't have the intellectual capacity to write in proper English.

5. Never trust a Gmail or any free emails. You are 100% sur to have your money taken if you do.

There are many ways to recognize if you are being scammed. Most of the time common sense kicks in. Sometimes it's tough to know.
