Isle Royale Records and publisher, P. F. Damon Co are announcing an international boycott of Spotify. Flip Damon's music will no longer be found on the channel, and the artist is distressed over the UN-announced music removal and the Channel's failure to remit payments of royalties to the artist as the main reasons for the official shunning. The artist is also unhappy with the current payout rate of .014 of a penny per play. Damon says " it is unconscionable" to be part of anything that is so cheap in the payout department, and the poor responses to my concerns are unwarranted".
The boycott will continue according to Damon's artist management team, and publisher, until Spotify agrees to conform to practical and fair rating policies and stops removing music of artists who depend on Spotify to offer their music to the buying and listening public. Damon believes that it is in the public interest for streaming channels to "play fair" and PAY!
In other news, the newest album by Flip Damon "In My Element" is now out and the tracks can be heard on many streaming and radio channels worldwide.
The artist wishes to thank his fans, the label, and his publishing company for their continuing support.
