Los Angeles, California, September 28, 2018- 

The issue of...’s debut capsule collection heavily focuses on its designers’ recent years away from the family and motherland. “Mom, I’m safe” , is the quote from the conversation almost everyone would have with their Mom. The phrase expresses not the best environment where character exists, however character that feels like Mom should not be worried about his safety and goodness.

The color pallete of the capsule consists of shades of black and red which sets the mood of the entire drop. The capsule consists of garments such as the Paneled Sweatsuits that communicates through embroidery and graphics, a black hoodie produced with a mixture of various printing techniques and puffed braille dots. black sweatpants, French terry mock neck, sweater which is made of beautiful mohair blend fabric which gives a twist to collection by adding more fashionable attribute. The black mock neck says “inspired” in russian (connect these two dots (facts) by yourself). Speaking of dots, all of the pieces has dots and messages that have multiple messages. The dots came from the name of the brand “The Issue Of…”. The dots represent uncertainty, hope, infinity and “fill the blank”  which is the essential blueprint of the brand.

WHAT IS “The Issue of...”?

The Issue Of… is a young brand created in August 2017 by two brothers, Max and Art from Zaporizhia, Ukraine. The brand was created in order to voice designers’ concerns about society’s, political, class issues that interconnected with personal issues. 

Designers are solid on their opinion that those categories of issues touching everybody in every place in this world. The Issue Of… “plays a role of a diary, it contains stories that happened to them and their closest ones” told through fashion.
