Born and raised in Reykjavik, Hendrikka’s artistic vision has been shaped by her experiences living across Japan, the United States, Russia, and the UK. Her multicultural background is reflected in the bold color palettes, layered textures, and symbolic motifs that define her work. Among these motifs is the recurring single ear—a distinctive emblem of selective listening, introspection, and the nuanced nature of human attention.
