Meet South Florida Sculptor, Painter And Mixed Media Artist Norman Silva

Norman Silva is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited with galleries within South Florida and the United States. His work resembles an industrial aesthetic, blurring the lines between fine art, mechanical design and fabrication.

Sculptor, painter and mixed media artist Norman Silva is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited with galleries within South Florida and the United States. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University.

The artist has several shows taking place within South Florida, works are on exhibit and available at Studio 18 in Pembroke Pines, and the Arts Council of Martin County for the 29th Annual All Florida Juried Art Show at the Court House Cultural Center in Stuart, Florida on exhibition through December 19, 2019. Silva also has work being showcased during Hispanic Heritage Month on exhibition at Broward College’s Bailey Hall in the group show, ‘Celebrating Our Latin Roots‘.

Silva is a versatile artist with works ranging from sculptural pieces made using steel, cement, wood, or glass (or a combination of), created in a variety of sizes and designs, styles and prices. He creates stunning watercolor paintings and limited edition prints on fine art archival paper, a mould-made etching paper featuring a distinct textured surface with a premium matte coating, as well as limited run sculptures, all available online at www.normansilvaart.com/shop.

The artist was chosen to exhibit his wildlife and sea life steel sculptures at the Beaux Arts Festival, at the University of Miami adjacent to the Lowe Art Museum Jan. 18-19, 2020.
