France II Renewable Energy

EUR 680 Million loan approved in France II Renewable Energy

Legion Finance Trade Limited (LFTL) has signed a EUR 680 million loan to France II to finance renewable energy risk sharing, The project consists of linked risk-sharing and intermediated lending in support of mid-sized onshore wind and solar photovoltaic projects in France which aims to contribute to renewable energy targets in France and the European Union. Other Financing channels are in place for the project to reach it's maximum peak.

This operation is intended to generate environmental benefits by supporting projects that help mitigate climate change. The project will further contribute to LFTL transversal priority objectives for energy-sector lending related to renewable energy sources and climate action.

The LFTL agent representative Lennart Dahlquist for the France II project informed LFTL environmental team that the project is fully consented following an environmental impact assessment process including an appropriate assessment by the competent authority. With suitable mitigation measures in place, the project has no significant negative impact on the integrity of any nature conservative site. The Regional Representative has worked closely with the team of engineers to ensure that the site is in compliance with the procurement directives on public procurement.

During the public tender meeting announcement in France on the 26th of May, 2018 the Legion Finance Trade Limited board member Povl Langsig who was present at the meeting platform was giving an opportunity to outline growth of renewable energy in France and Europe, which he commentated that the effect of renewable energy has given rise to more energy and job opportunity to individuals and increase environmental impact with the EU region. Legion Finance Trade Limited team of experts has verified during the appraisal stage that the promoter is subject to EU procurement legislation (Directive 2014/25/EU) on public procurement.
