An Artist that Creates Series and Stories from the Heart

It has been said that Leticia Herrera builds her pigment-rich abstractions with the sensibilities of a poet, infusing sensitivity and vulnerability into her bold fields of color and texture. In her latest work she experiments into the world of figurative art without losing the sensibility and vulnerability that enhances her abstract work. But in her new portraits she adds the element of magic surrealism to tell the story she wants to portrait.
In over 20 years of painting, she has depicted a diverse amount of representations from the figurative, to the abstraction and to the figurative, and no matter what is her stage, or what are the surroundings of her experiences, there is something that she cares the most: The inner world, the feelings, the sensations. She expresses that, through color and texture in her abstract compositions, and through magical stories of her magic surrealism portraits of imaginary moments.
Herrera quotes “The journey is not external but internal, and that search is the universe within my soul, a box where I found my imagination through my dreams, thoughts, feelings and sensations, is the essence of my creative world.”

Born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico, Leticia Herrera now lives in Frisco, TX. Herrera is delighted to present her SOLO exhibition of her latest work of 2017-2018. Work that will touch your heart.
The exhibition opens on November 3, 2014 and continue until the 30th. With an opening reception on the evening of Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 7 – 9 PM.
