Caddo Parish, Louisiana-On October 12, 2019, Global Icon, Greshun De Bouse went to exercise her right to vote. However, De Bouse says, "Upon entering the voting location, a young lady informed me they don't have any directions posted, and instructed me on where to go to locate voting machines. Had it not been for her, I or anyone easily could have thought the voting period had expired, or that they were in a non-voting location."
Further, improper labeling made it challenging to find the correct vote-casting room, and once found, De Bouse said she was met with inappropriateness wherein poll workers engaged in inappropriately loud, disruptive conversations in an effort to distract her from concentrating on voting selections, and to intimidate her and sway her vote subcortically via interwoven conversational suggestions.
According to Greshun De Bouse, " This is an outrage, and indicative of the flawed voting process in Caddo Parish in general. Whether volunteerism or paid, poll workers should maintain a level of professionalism for the duration of the voting period on election day. Those who can not or will not do such should be disallowed to work at voting polls."
De Bouse says she did ask poll workers to be quiet so she could concentrate on voting , to no avail, and she contends "My constitutional right to vote was violated."
You may recall Greshun De Bouse is the supernaturally remarkable and accomplished global leader whose advocacy, leadership, and technological innovation is recognized by mayors, governors, celebrities and other dignitaries across the U.S. She was recently named Mover and Shaker of the Year, and we all support her in all she does-especially her right to vote. #greshun
