Polytopia invests €100.000 in more solar energy to celebrate Zebasi month.

Previous investments have facilitated electricity for over 10.000 people and avoided over 1000 tons of CO2 emissions.

Midjiwan AB, the developer behind the popular strategy game The Battle of Polytopia is escalating the cooperation with Trine, a Swedish company that offers the opportunity to invest in loans to solar energy companies in emerging markets. The previous investment has been in solar energy projects in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda & Pakistan and has resulted in over 1000 tons of saved CO2 emissions.

In the game, The Battle of Polytopia, you can buy different tribes, and one of them is named the Zebasi. Profits from the sale of Zebasi tribes are invested in loans in solar energy where it's needed the most. Midjiwan AB will continue to invest in new loans from these profits to make a long lasting impact.

Each tribe in the game has its own month and as it happens, July is also the official Tribe month for the Zebasi tribe.

“Any devoted Polytopia player knows that July is the Zebasi month and we are happy to announce that we are increasing our Solar Energy investments to €100.000 this year.” says General Manager Christian Lovstedt.

All investments through Trine meet sustainable development goals, which were formed by the UN Development Program (UNDP)
