Accomplished actress and singer Shanica Knowles has signed with Next Phaze Media Group (NPMG), the literary talent management firm based in Greater Los Angeles, CA., who will represent her intellectual properties to shop for television and film.
Shanica’s impressive portfolio includes major network film and series work for Nickelodeon, Disney, MTV, NBC, ABC, BET, Freeform and Lifetime.
She is best known for role on Disney Channel’s hit show ‘Hannah Montanna’ and her other notable performances include starring roles in Lifetime films such as ‘Mega Church Murders’, ‘Surviving Compton: Dre, Sug and Micel’le’, ‘Babysitters Nightmare’ and ‘Christmas on the Menu’.
As a songwriter, Knowles has achieved multiple TV and film placements for her original music and she is currently working on her debut Country & Western album. Her versatility extends to daytime television where she played a recording artist as Simone Burch on the ‘Young and the Restless’.
She gained further acclaim when Deadline Hollywood announced her role in ‘Life Size 2’ alongside Tyra Banks and Francis Raisa, as well as a co-starring role with LisaRae McCoy in the BET thriller ‘Twice Bitten’. Also on BET, Knowles led the cast on the family sitcom ‘King of the Castle’ with Tony Rock and Jennifer Freeman.
Knowles will headline her third BET installment of ‘GPS’, a gripping psycho-thriller, and will star in her fifth Lifetime film ‘The Girl in the Garage: The Laura Cowan Story’.
