Scammer Travel Agents: Kateryna Shumilina Kate (Irpin, Ukraine) and her network of scammers

In this article, I want to tell the world to be aware of some fraudulent agents and visa/travel cheaters living in Ukraine. They are having a strong network in India, China and Pakistan.

There are many Fake travel agents who mock people to provide visas for any high currency country like Poland, Ukraine, UK, Canada, Australia, Cyprus, etc. from low currency countries like India, China, Pakistan, Nigeria, Philippines, Vietnam, etc.  They promise them that they will get a better life for their family and charge a wholesome amount from them to immigrate to a new country.

That’s why every government has put guidelines to be aware of these scammers. But still, there are many innocent people who become affected by these scams. They are in search of a better life, but these scammers can put them in worse condition.

So, there is a need to make you aware of these tricksters so that more people can be saved. Online information is a great way to do that.

Work Visa fraud:

A Case from Poland

For example, let's take the case of European Union Country Poland. There are many Fraudulent agents like WorldVentures fame Kateryna Shumilina aka Kate, S.P. Ganghotra aka Sunny, and many more who are tricking the innocent people in India, China and Pakistan to get a visa for Poland, Cyprus or the Czech Republic. They show them the European dream and tell them to pay some amount (10 to 15 L INR) to get a job in Poland from a reputed company with accommodation and health insurance.

They are very good at persuading their clients (the innocent people) and they won’t leave any stone unturned while making promises. Their partners belong to different countries, likewise in the case I am discussing, Kateryna Shumilina belongs to Ukraine and Sunny is his husband (absconder from India) and her friends Wu Bo, Ibrahim Hussein Ahma from China, Mirza Babaur Baig from Pakistan.

They can generate Fake signatures of Poland government stamps and create fake documents with everything well written in them. They copy some genuine legal documents that are required to get a Visa and put their forged stamps and give it to the victims in exchange for money. But, when those people apply for Visa then obviously they got the rejection for the fake documents. Moreover, these agents are also good to make you believe that everything is done in a legal way and documents are sent from legal Poland locations. But as I said they have a network across the world who help them to do so.

This is only a single case but there are many agents like them who are tricking people for money.

Beware of Fraud Agencies offering Work Visa

Please stay away from agencies or agents who offer jobs!

These agencies who are showing you European dreams are not going to fulfil them. Instead, they will snatch your hard-earned money and leave you in distress. As most of these agencies offer jobs/ work permits based on the shell companies owned by them to get Visa from the embassy.

But you need to understand that for the labour jobs there is already a huge population coming from Ukraine & Belarus, other Slavic block countries like Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, etc ( who speak perfect polish), for these jobs they do not need people from India, unlike middle east countries.

Many people fell in the well made by them and then after getting rejection they try to contact genuine sources. There are many government and community websites (like the Indian Community of Poland) who are actively stopping this kind of fraud and warn people not to believe this kind of agent.

Likewise, when I see their discussions on Facebook groups they said “ Many people ask us on messages, we said multiple times there are "No legit or genuine agencies or companies for hiring labour or blue-collar jobs here from the Indian subcontinent".” They have more than 1000’s of messages where people were scammed by these agencies. So they warn everyone to stay away from agents or agencies.

So don’t believe these agents, as in the end, you will end up losing money to them.

As in the Poland Case, I discussed, Kateryna Shumilina and Sunny have done the same thing with many Indian and Pakistani natives. Now they are all searching for them to get their money back, but these absconders are away from there reach. The Indian S.P. Gangotra played these scam with his friends and left the country to stay with Kate (who is connected with Mirza B. Baig from Pakistan) in Ukraine with his son Vaibhav Gangotra. The fact is that nobody is now able to contact them.

Vacation Visa Scams:

Apart from the work visa scams, there are many vacation visa scams also happening around the world. They prove to be the most money-stolen frauds.

A case from Pennsylvania

A Fake travel agent scammed people out of $400K for 'tickets to nowhere’. One informer thought they were buying a trip to Disney World for a family with a member battling cancer, but they are not aware of the fact that they are losing the money. A 38-year-old woman Christine Hayes in Pennsylvania is accused of stealing money from at least 82 people by tricking them into buying $400,000 worth of vacation deals.

She started from genuine initial deals to clients but then provided fake packages later on. From Mid of 2017 to 2019, Hayes illegally used aliases to sell travel fake travel packages. The innocent victims were persuaded to believe that they are going on trips with their friends and family.

But in the end, they end up buying a ticket to nowhere and lose their money to this fraudulent travel agent.

Beware of Fraud agents offering fake travel Visa

A well-said phrase “a sucker is born every minute” truly fits here. There are thousands of persons daily who became a victim of such travel scams. We human beings basically want to travel and explore, while there are other humans who know how to take advantage of this habit.

Some wholesale vacation clubs like WorldVentures, claim to offer discounts, cheap vacation hotels if you buy their membership. However, once you become their member, you face reality.

The deals or discounts offered by them aren’t better than any deal that you can crack online for free. Additionally, they offer you an MLM strategy to expand their network. Eventually, they will ask you to give them fees to buy their premium memberships. You will end up with nothing left in your hand, except for the dream of going on vacation.

Few of the people I already discussed are Kateryna Shumilina from Irpin with her friends Wo Bo and Mirza Babaur Baig who are also involved with WorldVentures. They target people from India, China, and Pakistan to join the membership of this travel club and explore its MLM plans to become rich. And the outcome is already discussed.

But, the thing to take into consideration here is that the travel or work visa scammers have a very large and strong interconnected network. You can find more about travel scams on google and other websites like SmarterTravel.

Travel frauds promise really great prices to deliver nothing.

How to avoid the Visa scams?

Beware of people like Christine Hayes, Kateryna Shumilina, Sunny Gangotra, and their friends. My advice if you find anybody claiming to give you work permits or travel visas, then please explore them on the web. You can anytime google about the scams, search for Facebook community groups and put questions there, find their history on Google or any press release.

And lastly, it's our duty to make people aware of such scammers, so if you find anybody please write about them on the internet, social media, and review websites with their name. Surely, It will help someone who is about to become a victim of their Visa trap.

If we can’t search them at least we can report them (on the Internet or somewhere) and save other people.
