SHATTERING THE GLASS BOX

REAL PEOPLE, AGED 17-26, TALKING ABOUT REAL ISSUES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LONDON, UK — It is with genuine pride from all contributors that Shattering the Glass Box is announced today for the first time.

Shattering the Glass Box is an anthology of fresh young female voices sharing their perspectives on sexual assault, gender discrimination and other issues that affect women worldwide.

The book is available now for pre-order from major booksellers including Waterstones, Amazon.co.uk and Foyles with a list price of $25.00, £20.00, $35.00 and €25.00 in the US, UK, Canada and Ireland respectively for the hardcover edition, and $16.99, £13.99, $21.99 and €15.99 for the paperback edition. It will be released in these countries and others on 20 February 2018.

Featuring contributions from first-time writers Rachel Leishman, Hannah Reynolds, Tyra Roberts, Menna Powell-Davies, Amber Feng, Catherine Zhang and Hannah Kennedy, Shattering the Glass Box is a book written by women who have lived through and continue to face these issues every day.

A must-read collection of dynamic and powerful pieces featuring the subjects of sexual assault, discrimination, objectification, family issues and more, Shattering the Glass Box is aimed at young women who are just like the writers, young men who want a better understanding of the issues women face and older adults who want to continue their social education.

‘This concept has grown and developed to become a unique collection of thoughts and discussions that is naturally going to make a difference — due in no small part to the talents of Rachel, Tyra, Menna, Amber, Catherine and both Hannahs,’ says editor Ben Fletcher.

The issues raised in this book are relevant to millions of young women across the world who face them daily, even though the details of their individual experiences differ. Though celebrities inevitably play a role in bringing attention to social causes, authors like the ones included in Shattering the Glass Box bring a relatability that the rich and famous lack. It is an honor to share the voices of these nine diverse women with the world.
