[MANORVILLE, NEW YORK] –– On October 6, 2018, the Long Island Photo Gallery (LIPG) teamed up with the Long Island Game Farm – Wildlife Park and Children’s Zoo (LIGF) for a charity photoshoot in order to raise funds to sponsor a Game Farm enclosure.
At the event led by photographer Anthony Graziano, a select group of local photographers came down to the zoo and took exclusive close-up pictures of the animals such as the wallabies, giraffes, lemurs, and more. The unique photos were taken without the obstructing background of farm visitors or cages, which is a rare occurrence for the bustling zoo.
All photographers were required to donate $95 to the Game Farm if they were members of the LIPG and $110 if they were not members. Along with their donations, the photographers were given a private tour of the grounds and a small plate buffet. All proceeds went towards the renovation of an older animal enclosure. So far, $650 has been raised by the LIPG towards the enclosure sponsorship.
In 2019, Long Island Game Farm will be celebrating its 50th anniversary as Long Island’s largest combined children’s zoo and wildlife park. Donations are accepted to help improve the lives of the animals and their surroundings.
