VAIL — The Vail Film Festival is open for submissions for the 16th annual edition. The 16th annual festival will celebrate women filmmakers and will screen a diverse slate of over 50 films, including narrative and documentary feature films as well as short and student films.
“We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on female filmmakers this year,” said Corinne Hara, festival director. “For far too long, women working in film have been ignored. This year we will continue our efforts to promote female voices by showcasing films from female directors, writers, and producers.”
Filmmakers can submit via our website at www.vailfilmfestival.com or through our submissions platform partner, FilmFreeway.
The Vail Film Festival is widely recognized in the international filmmaking community for supporting emerging and critically-acclaimed talent from around the globe.
Passes are currently for sale on the festival website. In addition to screenings, Vail Film Festival passes provide access to the Women in Film panel discussion and a series of networking receptions, where festival passholders can interact with festival filmmakers and professionals in the film community.
