Carl Pernicone has been celebrated for his outstanding achievements in the legal field. He currently holds a position as co-chair of Wilson Elser’s insurance-reinsurance coverage practice. To prepare himself for his legal career, Pernicone graduated summa cum laude from Iona College in 1980 as well as a JD from the School of Law at Fordham University in 1983. His career as a lawyer has spanned over 34 years and he is looking forward to the growth and expansion of his current firm. Mr. Pernicone wishes to branch out into focusing on climate change and hydraulic fracturing.
Pericone was born into the legal industry, coming from a family consisting of lawyers. He had an interest in political science from a young age, which made his transition into becoming a lawyer very smooth. Pernicone has said in the past that his passion for his career stems from his focus on the details and keeping up to date with important, recent issues. As a litigator in New York, he has plentiful experience in insurance, workplace chemical and environmental liability, and property insurance claims.
Wilson Elser, Pericone’s employer, is a law firm with 34 offices throughout the United States in addition to one office in London. They serve as the home for over 800 attorneys and were founded in 1978. Their many offices that span the country have allowed the firm to become one of the nation’s most influential law firms. They have been ranked in the Am Law 200 as well as the top 50 of the National Law Journal 500.
