New York, NY - September 8, 2025 — Wright Enterprises (WE), headquartered in San Francisco and Dallas, proudly announces that its newly launched Wright Enterprises Community Spotlight Community Spotlight-W.E.C.S. TV Show will cover one of the most significant cultural moments of the season: ORUN x Designers at New York Fashion Week, September 12–13, 2025.

This groundbreaking event, empowered by the participation of NOSACONN (New Orleans South Africa Connection), features New Orleans’ Royal Family of Music—the Batistes—as they unveil their latest venture: a fashion line inspired by African heritage and New Orleans creativity and celebrate the birthday of legendary Louisiana Hall of Famer David Batiste.

Hosted at The Lightbox in New York City, ORUNxDesigners is a two-day program that blends fashion, art, and diplomacy, spotlighting Africa’s creative power with immersive art, exhibitions, fashion showcases, and fireside chats featuring cultural leaders and international dignitaries.

  • Launch of the New Orleans–South Africa Fashion Division by Damon J. Batiste of NOSACONN, culminating in live Louisiana Music Hall of Fame performances with the Batiste Family in honor of David Batiste, founder of the first Batiste band, David and the Gladiators.

From patriarch Louisiana Music Hall of Famer David Batiste Sr. to Grammy-winner Jon Batiste, the Batiste family has helped shape New Orleans’ musical heritage. Their expansion into fashion continues this legacy, blending New Orleans’ rhythm with African aesthetics in collaboration with ORUN x Designers’ visionary designers.

Wright Enterprises’ new TV show, produced by video arts veterans, Will Hammon and Ken Johnson, Wright Enterprises Community Spotlight San Francisco ~ Dallas debuted this summer at San Francisco’s historic African American Art & Culture Complex (AAACC) and has already featured dynamic guests like Franco Finn, Golden State Warriors’ Hypeman, Sherri Young, Founder of the African American Shakespeare Company celebrating 30 years in San Francisco and David Roach, Co-Founder of the Oakland International Film Festival, September 10-20, 2025.
