Throughout his career, Ellington has held leadership roles bridging public, nonprofit, and civic sectors. Among them:

Spotlight Interview & Policy Priorities on WECS
In his WECS interview, Ellington wove personal narrative with policy urgency. He emphasized:
- Inclusive development & housing — the need to build housing across income levels while protecting communities from displacement.
- Local economic vitality — fostering small business growth and job creation in underinvested corridors.
- Transit, infrastructure & connectivity — improving east–west access, safer streets, and more equitable mobility.
- Cultural investment & youth opportunity — strengthening arts, culture, and creative institutions as anchors of community identity.
During the interview with host, Jackie Wright, Theo Ellington said: “I believe our neighborhoods deserve more than just infill — they deserve inclusive growth, community voice, and trust‑based development.”
Ellington’s experience is not limited to one neighborhood. “The work I’ve done across San Francisco — in housing, in government, in the arts — isn’t for show. It’s evidence that I carry the relationships, the experience, and the commitment to deliver for District 10,” said Ellington.
2026 Campaign Launch & Next Steps
Following his WECS spotlight, Ellington has formally filed to run for Supervisor, District 10, representing Bayview, Hunters Point, Dogpatch, Potrero Hill, Visitacion Valley, and surrounding neighborhoods. His campaign is mobilizing through neighborhood listening sessions, policy white papers, and early endorsements from local and citywide leaders.
