KQED to begin streaming Ethan Paisley’s INDELIBLE

September 2018 - KQED has acquired distribution rights for Ethan Paisley’s acclaimed short film INDELIBLE.

INDELIBLE is about a PTSD stricken war vet who time travels back to the combat zone to overcome his trauma. The film stars Bay Area talent Jackie Dallas from Stranger Things and Dorian Lockett of 13 Reasons Why. The short has played over 20 film festivals and garnered eight awards and nominations.

The short will be part of a student series put on by the KQED series featuring talented student filmmakers from the Bay Area.

Paisley directed the film in Spring 2017. Later, it went on to screen at the Mill Valley Film Festival. In an interview with the Academy Award-qualifying event, Paisley shares about his inspiration behind the project:

Paisley found the idea through a school assignment in which he was charged with making a time travel film. “I thought it was a dumb idea at first, but my friend had a grandparent who had just entered counseling for PTSD from serving in the military,” he said. “So we connected through her personal experiences. [The film] was a personal conversation that became a bigger one.”

INDELIBLE will air on KQED starting January 2019.
