"I'm glad the audio has been released, as it should have been months ago. I now intend on focusing on what is important: passing conservative legislation for future generations and the needs of West Texans."
In this statement, he did not answer the ultimate questions being asked by the constituents:
Why did you say this?
Why did you involve yourself in this conversation?
How can we trust you?
In the recording, Dustin Burrows stated:
- "My goal is for this to be the worst session in the history of the legislature for cities and counties."
- "We hate cities and counties."
- "On the political side, I would put ending funding for union dues."
He states in the recording, that he basically wants to take state control of local governments, and this is absurd. He also wants to take down unions, that he hates cities and counties. How can a state representative do this to the towns and districts he represents? We need answers to these questions, and I am among those that wonder, can we trust our Representative? The answer is NO, he has lost the trust of District 83 and Texans throughout the state.
As a representative for The Texas House, A representative is supposed to encourage local government, and constituents, this recording shows that our current rep, Burrows has intentionally ignored the needs of his constituents.
As a state, Texans need to hold Burrows responsible for the wrongdoings in the house, regarding the 86th, and this meeting with Bonnen and Sullivan. We need results and not more questions. We need a representative that we can believe in.
