Studies show that “science” and “scientists” make anything associated with them credible. In Western society, science is now considered the supreme source of authority when it comes to knowing reality.

Scientists, universities, doctors, professors, and academics all have the prestige that once belonged to magicians, sorcerers, or clerics. It is not for nothing that many today speak of the "Church of the Intellect," which worships science and treats its representatives as priests.
