Polytopia continues to invest game revenues in Solar Power.
Swedish developer Midjiwan´s total investment, which now exceeds 150.000€, has facilitated electricity for rural regions in Africa and avoided over 2000 tons of co2 emissions.
The Battle of Polytopia is a strategy game with players all over the world. In the game, players can buy different tribes, and one of them is named the Zebasi. In the mobile version of the game, all revenues from the sales of the Zebasi tribe are invested in loans for solar power projects in rural Africa.
“We want to make a statement that playing our game is definitely not a waste of time. As a player you can actually help real solar power projects get implemented in rural Africa” says General Manager Christian Lövstedt.
The investment is made through the Swedish company Trine. All investments through Trine meet sustainable development goals, which were formed by the UN Development Program (UNDP)
