R&B Singer K.Lavale Drops His First Single, "Where You Wanna Go"

Tuesday, May 31st // Highland, CA. ~ R&B artist K. Lavale releases his new single "Where You Wanna Go" ahead of his professional album debut coming soon.

K.Lavale's music is a mixture of the West Coast / Southern styles that is garnering Lavale some name recognition as one of the up-and-coming R&B Hip Hop singers in the game. Admittedly an uphill battle for Lavale who has to contend with the industry slight of music artists who come from the Inland Empire (IE) in California, but still an area that has been emerging more in the last several years.

Some people agree and think LA is the only place to be when it comes to cultural scenes in Southern California, while others represent the IE to the grave. However, some argue that the IE is Southern California’s best kept secret. There are so many young creatives in the area like Chamber of Cyphers, Future Soul, Golden Girls, Serious Cartoons and Inland Mujeres, alongside musicians like Quitapenas, Brainstory, Foreign Native, Maxo, Xinxin and Hook.

With these and so many others emerging on the scene, it’s hard to deny that the IE is a force to be reckoned with. And what makes the IE’s culture so different from any other artistic city is the sense of community, a lack of ego and a shared love for the spaces they inhabit.

A perfect example of this can be found in the small yet vibrant innovative spaces of Riverside and Rialto and was echoed a week ago when Drake put on a "Pop-up" free concert in San Bernardino to a packed house and him giving IE it's props for their booming music scene that is distinctly not the L.A. scene, but just as vibrant.

"Where You Wanna Go" is very much reminiscent of Lil' Wayne's Southern style with that So. Cal vibe. A fusion of Hip-Hop and Pop that seems about right since K. Lavale was greatly influenced by Lil' Wayne's music as a budding artist honing his own skill sets on the Mic.
