The Ruck Challenge (TRC), now in its 9th Annual 10K 5K competition, aims to foster teamwork and camaraderie among veterans engaged in rehabilitative programs in our community. In honor of the sacrifices veterans have made while serving our country, it challenges various agencies to compete in an event that tests endurance, strength, and strategy. What sets TRC apart is its inclusivity—it welcomes everyone: veterans, community members, first responders, friends, and coworkers.
It’s a chance to come together for a fun event while supporting a vital cause: our veterans. By participating in TRC, you demonstrate your solidarity with those who have bravely served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force, showing appreciation for their commitment to our nation.
Join us in making a difference! Take part in The Ruck Challenge 2024 5K 10K and show your appreciation for our Veterans.
This event is a platform to raise awareness for the invisible wounds of war that our local military Veterans endure.
Funds raised will directly support Veterans grappling with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, substance abuse, and sexual trauma.
Whether you prefer to walk, run, or participate without a ruck, your involvement matters. Can’t join the challenge in person? Consider making a donation to support our cause. Every contribution counts toward improving the lives of those who’ve served our country.
This event is coordinated by retired Sergeant Major Gregory Coker of Reaching New Heights Foundation (RNHF), a veterans community organization that provides an array of services that assist Veterans transitioning from active duty, incarceration, or homelessness.Services are provided through collaboration with local and government agencies to build pride and stability. Our Mentor Program generates a roadmap for success through interaction and accountability. Veterans Awareness Resources (VAR) provides Veterans assistance in applying for VA disability compensation, healthcare, burial benefits, obtaining medical records and many other VA benefits.
“Our association with the County Veterans Service offices in Riverside and San Bernardino provides many of the services connecting Veterans to benefits that they have earned. RNHF has several memorandums of understanding, letters of support from Riverside and San Bernardino County Veteran Service Departments.”
