“The wildfires that have ravaged the greater Los Angeles community are a tragedy of epic proportions,” stated Tavis Smiley, KBLA’s Chief Visionary Officer. “Dominique’s show live in the Pasadena/Altadena area will highlight personal stories and hopefully help start the recovery and rebuilding process.”
Pasadena/Altadena has a rich history and deep African American roots, making the devastation’s impact different than the Palisades fire. Destruction is indiscriminate, but the Eaton Fire tore through a community that holds cultural and historical significance for Black families in the region.
The Eaton Canyon Fire has left lasting scars on the Pasadena/Altadena community. Numerous families face the daunting challenge of recovery after suffering profound losses. Through this live event, KBLA Talk 1580 aims to amplify their stories, mobilize resources, and remind those affected that they are not alone.

Join the conversation, be part of the live audience, and stand with Altadena.
