Pastor Mike of First Love Outreach Ministry & Operation H.E.L.P. Announces a Cooperative to Provide Aid in the Unincorporated Towns of San Bernardino County

Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 ~ San Bernardino, CA.

A rousing gathering of church and community citizens took place on Saturday at The 320 Premiere Hall located in The Enterprise Building, downtown San Bernardino. An afternoon of communion, food, music, and worship that was referred to as ‘Preachin‘ & Teachin’ by the event‘s sponsor, First Love Outreach Ministries.

This social event also served as a platform to announce a proposed initiative referred to here as The
San Bernardino County Development Cooperative, under the leadership with Pastor Mike of the First Love Outreach Ministry and Operation H.E.L.P. (Healing Every Lost Person) in a joint venture with The Enterprise District NonProfit organization led by businessman and owner of The Enterprise Building, Alan Stanly.

This initiative came about when Pastor Mike was approached by a resident and community leader who lives in unincorporated San Bernardino, who inquired about the Pastor’s ministry work of providing food and faith counseling from his church on W Highland Ave, and his mobile outreach every Friday at The Enterprise Building on North E. Street downtown.

That resident shared that there are a good many people in the 16 towns that make up the San Bernardino unincorporated sector who are sick and shut-in, many living below the poverty line where basic life needs such as food, clothing, and housing, have become a crisis situation.

According to the 2020 census, the year COVID became a pandemic, the total San Bernardino unincorporated population was 304,659 including 3,946 living in group quarters as reported by the California Department of Finance.

Pastor Mike’s ministry and mission is to be mobile and go to where the needs are, and he has developed a plan with Alan Stanly whose Enterprise Building hosts several non-profit organization business tenants  that deal with Domestic Violence, Housing, Education, Veterans Assistance, and more.

The two are proposing to bring what they do with their missions here in downtown San Bernardino out to those in need in the unincorporated towns. A verbal understanding of this proposed initiative has been agreed to by all Chamber of Commerce leads in the 16 towns, and the time frame to roll this assistance out will be announced soon.
